NOTICE 2020-2021 MEETING DATES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the tax roll and warrant for the Village of Nassau, New York has been left with me for collection of taxes levied and that I will receive taxes from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon daily, except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays at the Village Municipal Building, 40 Malden Street, Nassau, New York.

Taxes will be collected from June 1, 2020 to July 21, 2020 without additional charge.  (Per Governor issued Executive Order 202.32 Extending Penalty Period 21 days). All taxes remaining unpaid after July 21, 2020 will be subject to the additional five percent (5%) penalty for the reminder of July and one percent (1%) for each month or fraction thereof thereafter until paid.  Any taxes remaining unpaid November 1, 2020 will be turned over to Rensselaer County for collection.

VILLAGE OF NASSAU RESIDENTS

LOCATED ON MALDEN STREET

Due to a delay by the Rensselaer County Health Department in the testing of water samples needed to complete the service tie-ins on Malden Street, the contractor, sent the crew to another job last week.  They have informed us they will return to complete the service tie-in and paving of Malden Street the week of June 1st.

The expected completion date for Malden Street is June 15th.

We will keep you informed if additional adjustments in the schedule are made.

We apologize for this continued inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

NOTICE OF ADOPTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, the following Local Law was passed by the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Nassau, New York on April 8, 2020 and filed with the Secretary of State April 15, 2020.

Local Law #1-2020 – authorizing a property tax levy in excess of the limit established in General Municipal Law §3-c.

Copies of the complete laws are available at the Village Clerks Office, 40 Malden Street, Nassau, New York 8:00am to 12:00 noon Monday through Friday.
