VILLAGE OF NASSAU ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS APPLICATION FOR VARIANCES CONCERNING PROPERTY LOCATED AT
7 TREMONT DRIVE
Please take notice that the Village of Nassau Zoning Board of Appeals will conduct a public hearing on the following area variance applications on Monday, August 23, 2021 beginning at 7:00 pm.
Gary & Robin Garrison of 7 Tremont Drive, Nassau, NY (Tax Map ID# 211.12-2-24) has applied for a variance of Village of Nassau Zoning Law 120-69 (J) facing of fence; fence posts. Any fence, wood stockade, chain link or other type of fence shall have the smooth side or finished side facing to the outside of the property owner installing the fence. Fence posts will be placed on the inside of the fence.
The proposed change will not meet Nassau Village zoning requirements. The application is available for review at the Nassau Village Hall, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 12 noon.
Said hearing will be held at the Nassau Village Hall, 40 Malden Street, Nassau, NY, at which time all interested parties will be given an opportunity to be heard.

BID NOTICE – Residential Solid Waste Collection and Transportation and Residential Recyclables Collection and Transportation
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
NOTICE is hereby given that sealed bids covering Residential Solid Waste Collection and Transportation and Residential Recyclables Collection, Transportation and Disposal in accordance with the specifications prepared by the Village, will be received by the Village Board of the Village of Nassau, New York, at the office of the Village Clerk at the Village Hall, 40 Malden Street, Nassau, New York.
Date of submission of bids: Up to and including 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021
Review process: All bids received will be publicly opened by the Village Clerk at 10:45 AM on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 and delivered to the Village Board for review by Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
Proposals must be submitted on the bid form provided and in a manner designated therein. Copies of specifications may be obtained at the office of the Village Clerk at the Village Hall, 40 Malden Street, Nassau, New York or on line at www.villageofnassau.gov.
Each proposal for the work herein defined shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the order of the Village of Nassau in the amount of 5% of the total bid price or a bid bond for 5% of the total bid price. The Village will return the checks or bid bonds of the unsuccessful bidders within 14 business days after awarding of the bid. The check or bid bond for the successful bidder will be returned to him/her when he/she has entered into the contact to perform the specified work and has filed the required bond hereinafter mentioned with the Village; otherwise, it shall be forfeited and become the property of the Village.
The Village Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any irregularities in bidding and accept the bid that is best suited for the Village. No bids received may be withdrawn by any bidder for a period of sixty-two (62) days from the date of the bid opening.

VILLAGE OF NASSAU TAX COLLECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the tax roll and warrant for the Village of Nassau, New York has been left with me for collection of taxes levied and that I will receive taxes from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon daily, except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays at the Village Municipal Building, 40 Malden Street, Nassau, New York.
Taxes will be collected from June 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021 without additional charge. All taxes remaining unpaid after June 30, 2021 will be subject to the additional five percent (5%) penalty for July and one percent (1%) for each month or fraction thereof thereafter until paid. Any taxes remaining unpaid November 1, 2021 will be turned over to Rensselaer County for collection.
