NOTICE OF BOND RESOLUTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the resolution a summary of which is published herewith has been adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Nassau, Rensselaer County, New York on the 8th day of October, 2025. Such resolution was adopted subject to a permissive referendum and the period of time has elapsed for the submission and filing of a petition for such referendum without a valid petition having been submitted and filed, and the validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the Village of Nassau is not authorized to expend money, or the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty (20) days after the date of publication of this notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution of New York.

BOND RESOLUTION DATED OCTOBER 8, 2025. A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SERIAL BONDS OF THE VILLAGE OF NASSAU, RENSSELAER COUNTY, NEW YORK IN AN AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $4,928,000 PURSUANT TO THE LOCAL FINANCE LAW TO FINANCE THE VILLAGE’S INTERSECTION AND PEDESTRIAN UPGRADES PROJECT AND DELEGATING THE POWER TO ISSUE BOND ANTICIPATION NOTES IN ANTICIPATION OF THE SALE OF SUCH BONDS TO THE VILLAGE TREASURER.
Object or Purpose: the replacement of sidewalks and the installation of new curbing, drainage upgrades and watermain replacement on Chatham Street, the replacement of sidewalks on John Street, Kaunameek Street and Fairgrounds Street, the installation of new sidewalks and crosswalks at 2 Church Street, 2 Albany Avenue and 19 Albany Avenue and the installation of a new crosswalk for the Nassau Free Library at 29 Church Street, at an estimated maximum cost of $4,928,000.
Period of Probable Usefulness: ten (10) years.
Amount of Obligations to be Issued: not to exceed $4,928,000. The plan of financing of said purpose is to issue serial bonds, and any bond anticipation notes in anticipation thereof, in an amount not to exceed $4,928,000. To offset a portion of the cost of said purpose, the Village has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation in the amount of 80% of the cost of said purpose.
A complete copy of the bond resolution summarized above is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the office of the Village Clerk located at the Village Hall, 40 Malden Street, Nassau, New York.
